SAME-DAY SICK VISITS
We reserve some spaces every day for same-day sick visits. This appointment may be with your regular doctor or one of our other doctors if your primary physician is not available. It is always best to schedule in advance when possible.
AFTER-HOURS CARE
After regular office hours, there are pediatricians available to see our patients at the after-hours clinics. Appointments can be scheduled by calling the advice nurse.
- On nights, weekends and holidays, call 415-464-1350 for free phone advice from a pediatric nurse.
- One of our doctors is always on-call and can be reached for emergencies by asking the nurse to page us.
- After-hour appointments can be scheduled through the advice nurses:
6:30 pm – 9:30 pm on weekdays
9:30 am – 9:30 pm on weekends
Marin patients: The After-hours clinic is located at Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae.
San Francisco patients: The After-hours clinic is located at the corner of California and Cherry in San Francisco.
HOSPITAL AFFILIATIONS
Our doctors are on staff and admit patients to Marin General Hospital only. Specialty referrals are made to Oakland Children’s Hospital, California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), University of California in San Francisco (UCSF), as well as private practitioners. Babies born at hospitals other than Marin General will be cared for by the hospital staff pediatricians, and records will be faxed to us.
INSURANCE
We are contracted providers for:
- Blue Shield PPO, Blue Shield BSHC Healthy Families
- Blue Cross PPO, BCHC Healthy Families
- United Health Care
- Cigna PPO
If you are a member of one of the plans listed above, we will bill your insurance. You are responsible only for your co-pay and deductible. For other PPOs where we are not preferred providers, we will submit your insurance claims for you. You will be responsible for the portion not covered by your insurance plan.
Please call your insurance carrier to determine if we are contracted with your specific plan. If we are not contracted, reimbursement will be as an out-of-network provider and you will be responsible for the difference in payment.
HMOs and Kaiser will not reimburse you for care in our office.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Appointment changes or cancellations must be at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. For Monday appointments we need to be notified the prior Friday to avoid a $75 cancellation fee.
Homeopathic Constitutionals must be canceled 48 hours in advance to avoid a charge of $300.
